Mini continues to experiment with size with its vehicles, launching the longer, stretched out Cooper Clubman in 2008 and subsequently the larger, taller crossover SUV Cooper Countryman in 2010. Mini’s latest play in proportions is with its new Rocketman Concept, a smaller, even more compact version of the classic Mini Cooper that will debut starting next Thursday, March 3rd through March 13th at the International Geneva Motor Show.

More than 50 years after the first Mini launched in 1959, the Mini Rocketman Concept is just a few centimeters longer than the original and about a foot smaller than the current model. At a little over 11 feet in length and 6 feet wide, the Rocketman Concept is targeted toward the diverse lifestyle needs of city dwellers and the future challenges brought on by tightening road space. The Rocketman Concept is designed to be lightweight, not take up a lot of exterior space, yet offer an efficient use of interior space that is still comfortable and spacious with excellent fuel efficiency.
